St Just Primary School Win Table Tennis Award!

Staff and pupils from St Just Primary School are thrilled to have received the award for ‘Tees Sport School of the Year’ from Table Tennis England. At a prestigious event in Nottingham, last weekend, club representative David May accepted the award on the school’s behalf.

There were 142 schools nominated from up and down the country with 3 schools shortlisted. The panel was really impressed with how embedded table tennis in the school curriculum with all of Year 5 and Year 6 having regular input during school. There is also a thriving after school club with pupils regularly participating in the West Cornwall league. Four members of the club are off to Wolverhampton on 26 April to represent Cornwall in the England schools finals.

A massive well done to all the staff and students involved in making table tennis at St just Primary School so magnificent!
