Cape Cornwall School achieves AFPE Distinction!
The afPE Quality Mark is a prestigious award that evidences the strength and quality of Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) in schools.
After working through a rigorous application process, we are thrilled to announce that we have achieved the AFPE Quality Mark with Distinction for our work on Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity in school - encapsulated within our 'Cape Active' programme. A big part of life at Cape Cornwall School is the importance of sport, activity and play with staff and students all supporting this within school, whether it be in more formal PE lessons, activity at lunchtime or school sport. Each year, over 90% students represent the school in sport.
We are all thrilled to have achieved this prestigious award. Thanks must go to the PE team as well as the wider staff tream for making all this happen. In particular, Neil Gapp has spearheaded Cape Active and led the application for this mark of quality.

This honour recognises the school's exceptional dedication to enhancing Physical Education, School Sport, and Physical Activity, and is valid for three years, starting from June 2024.
