About The Role:
Newlyn School are looking for a warm and positive teaching assistant to join our team, who has a calm and nurturing yet aspirational mindset. The appointed candidate will be flexible and willing to engage with all team members across the school, having the hearts of our wonderful learners at the centre of everything we do. They will have a willingness to learn and grow professionally with a deep-rooted desire to champion all children, ensuring they can always be the best they can be; inside and outside of the classroom. We are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant who has experience in supporting high quality teaching and learning opportunities across either KS1 or KS2. An understanding of how to engage with children who require intervention and support is essential, with a view to understanding the role that targeted learning opportunities can play to build knowledge and masterful learners; growing in confidence day by day. We are looking to secure the right person to fit the ethos and vision of our school, working with the right candidate to find the perfect placement to match their talents and expertise, into either a KS1 or KS2 classroom. Experience in leading teaching and learning opportunities or PPA cover is desirable but not essential.

You will have a child-centered approach, and will provide a creative, inclusive and aspirational lessons to enrich our school curriculum which inspires and motivates children and supports high quality teaching and learning both indoors and outside the classroom.
