Blackwater C.P. School was built in 1877 and serves the village of Blackwater and surrounding areas. The school comprises a nursery which caters for children from 3 years old and runs between 8.45am – 1.15pm daily and is fully integrated with the Reception Class. They also have another infant class and 2 junior classes, all staffed by caring, outstanding practitioners. In total, they have around 130 children.

Blackwater School’s outside space is stunning – they have a large playground, huge field, a wild area and an outside classroom. All of their ICT equipment is wireless and mobile and they run both Apple and Windows platforms.

Their recent, highly successful OFSTED report gave rise to their new ethos of RAISE Blackwater, where they try and help children move towards the attributes and qualities below:

Resilient • Respect • Achieve • Aspire • Independent • Individual • Standards • Sensitive • Enriching • Experimental
